Soaking Up the Sun in Udaipur
Soaking up the sun in Udaipur. Had to change our plans and skip Pushkar since the lake which has been the highlight of the city has now dried out. Currently travelling by bus since train services are not available to smaller cities. Sometimes I start praying for my life since I sincerely believe that the bus driver is going to kill us by driving us into a truck full of bricks going 150 km/h. In the last two weeks I’ve discovered the incredible India I was looking for but I’ve also came to find a sheer amount of things that drive me crazy.. Complete traffic madness, almost no pedestrian sidewalks, no pedestrian street crossings, constant “Hello” “Where are you from?” “Come to my shop” questions, people taking a piss or a shit just in front of you, incredible amounts of dirt and garbage and never ending bargaining to not get ripped for even the simplest of things like water.
Sorry still no pictures to show. I’ll put them live once we get back. Next we’re going to Mount Abu to visit some peaceful temples, then Jodhpur and finally Jaisalmer to relive our own version of arabian nights.
